The publication recommended reading the paper entitled “A Large-Scale Sand-Retention Test Facility for Evaluation and Selection of Optimal Standalone Sand Screen for Injection Wells in Thermal Operations” by RGL Petroleum/Geomechanics Engineer, Madhi Mahmoudi.
The paper explores a new large-scale sand retention testing (SRT) facility that simulates the effect of pressure pulsation and backflow in injection wells on the sand control performance of stand-alone screens and helped SPE consultant Xiuli Wang outline how demand persists for cost-saving and value-adding innovations and emerging technologies that are bridging the gaps in existing technology portfolios for sand management and control.
