proLAB team and RGL make significant contributions to the literature in past year

December 17, 2018

Calgary, AB – December 17, 2018
– A total of 27 technical research papers were published in conferences or journals by RGL’s proLAB™ sand control testing team throughout 2018, a contribution representative of the sand and flow control company’s commitment to research and development within industry.
Results of the research were shared in presentations in six countries (Canada, US, Trinidad and Tobago, UK, Oman, and Kuwait). For a paper to be accepted for presentation at a conference or publication in a technical journal the content and research are rigorously reviewed and vetted by industry and academic experts.
“We have been doing great research and development work in past couple of years,” said Vahid Fattahpour, RGL Research and Development Manager. “I am very happy that we have been busy every single day in 2018 with experiments, modelling, and projects of all sizes for our customers worldwide. It has been a great opportunity to deliver value to our customers, and continue to learn.”
In addition to the conference and journal paper publications, noted industry magazines such as the Journal of Petroleum Technology referenced RGL’s work as amongst the recommended publications in sand control and management.
RGL’s body of work and contributions to oil and gas literature have led to other partnerships such as support from the National Research Council of Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program to develop new sand control tests and products and international and domestic operators making use of our sand control testing facility.
