Calgary, AB – May 9, 2019 – RGL’s internationally recognized expert on sand control, Dr. Mahdi Mahmoudi, will be featured in SPE’s newest workshop, Using Instrumentation and Data to Optimize Thermal Operations next month.
Dr. Mahmoudi was invited to speak at the workshop’s Wellbore Integrity and Data Quality session, chaired by Kyle Molzan, Petrospec Engineering Inc.; Rick Stahl, Cona Resources; Faiz Zaini, Baker Hughes, a GE Company.
Dr. Mahmoudi will be speaking on Building Data-Driven Permanent Real-Time Full Wellbore Flow Monitoring Using Hybrid Distributed Fibre-Optic Simultaneous Vibration and Temperature Sensing Technology.
The two-day workshop will focus on how big data and data analytics are built upon the foundation of effective instrumentation and practical monitoring schemes. New technologies, new uses for existing technologies, and innovative applications for both will be covered.
The workshop runs June 4–5 in Calgary. You can register at https://www.spe.org/events/en/2019/workshop/19aca2/register.html To view research papers, or any of RGL’s sand control initiatives, visit www.rglrm.com/resources or email email@example.com.
